Luther Tyner

Luther Randolph "Ed" "Buddy" Tyner, age 82, passed away in Ocean Springs on November 16, 2018, surrounded by his family.
He was born in Cheraw, South Carolina to Luther H. and Mae Tyner and moved to Springfield Mills, North Carolina  at 6 months of age.  He graduated from Laurel Hill High School in May 1954 and joined the Air Force in July 1954.  After basic training in San Antonio, TX, he was assigned to Keesler AFB for training in Radar Maintenance.
Due to his love of roller skating, he went to the rink in Biloxi where he met and fell in love with his future bride and declared it before he ever spoke to her.  After the Air Force, he worked for IBM for 28 years.  Then, with his family, opened T & N Feed and Pet Supplies in Ocean Springs and continued working there until his recent illness.
He had a great love for the Lord, his family, and friends, and had tremendous faith.  He was loved and admired by so many and will be greatly missed.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Luther H. and Mae Tyner; a son, Tommy Tyner; sisters, Lila Mae Williams, Carol B. Horne, Grace Ellen Andrews, and Florence Wickham; and son-in-law, Timothy Myers.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Linda Juanita Tyner; son, Scott (Elizabeth) Tyner; daughter, Sherry Myers; daughter-in-law, Julie Tyner; grandchildren, Micah (Bridget) Tyner, Chelsea (Stephen) Floyd, Andrew (Katie) Newbaker, Cody Tyner, Dylan Tyner, Timmy Myers, and Luke (Lauren) Myers; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, November 21, 2018, from 10 - 11 am at Coalville United Methodist Church.  The funeral service will be at 11 am in the church.  Interment will be in Coalville Cemetery.
