Luther David Childs, age 74, died at home in Diamondhead, MS on February 2, 2008.
Mr. Childs was an active member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Bay St. Louis.
He is preceded in death by his wife and childrenaÌ‚â‚â„¢s mother, Barbara Kennerson Childs; father, James Alford Childs; mother, Nancy Colyer Childs; and four brothers, Willie, Morris, James and Bud; and stepson, Timmy Catledge.
He is survived by his wife Vivian Catledge Childs of Diamondhead; three daughters: Kathy Davide of Denham Springs, LA, Nancy Ainsworth of Ashville, NC, Connie Reagan of Denham Springs, LA; three sons: Luther David Jr. of Summit, James William of Bay St. Louis, and Allan Roger of McComb; 21 grandchildren; and 28 great-grandchildren. Also, two stepchildren: Tommy Catledge of McHenry and Debbie Barrouse of Bay St. Louis; four brothers: Garnel Wesley of AL, James Alford Jr. of Greenville, Billy Joe of Belzoni and Gerry of Seattle, WA; two sisters: Doris Grisham and Pearl Hobson, both of Belzoni.
Friends may visit on Sunday, February 3, 2008 from 6:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 9113 Kiln Delisle Road, Pass Christian. The Funeral Service will be held 10:00 a.m. on Monday, February 4, 2008 at the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Magnolia, MS.
