Daddy was retired from Halter Marine and was an electrician by trade. He was a simple man that enjoyed the small pleasures in life. He loved his children, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. He was an avid reader and read every western story written by Louis L’Amour and watching every old western movie. He loved crossword puzzles and several people would save their magazines with puzzles to bless him with them. His talent for crocheting “dish rags” and scarves and giving them away blessed many people through the years. He enjoyed being active with the Senior Citizens in Pascagoula before moving to Fairhope.
He enjoyed watching football and baseball games along with the Grand Ole Opry. He loved to share riddles and brain teasers with family and friends and would enjoy a good belly laugh when he could trip anyone up with “ain’t that right, Fonda?”
After he moved to Fairhope, he looked forward to Wednesday morning breakfast with his son-in-law, Darrell. He was a good and honest man that cared deeply for his family and provided for them as best he could.
