Lulla Kulp Bell peacefully passed away at age 67 on Sunday, November 8, 2009, in her home in Long Beach, MS.
Mrs. Bell was a native of New Orleans and a resident of Long Beach since 1978. After Hurricane Katrina, Lulla left real estate appraising to answer a higher calling. She joined Lutheran Disaster Response as a case worker in efforts to rebuild the Gulf Coast both emotionally and physically. When her children were young, she volunteered as a Regional Director for La Leche League in the Southeast educating and helping new mothers. Mrs. Bell was an amazing lady who will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Tilford and Katie Lewis Kulp, and her husband, Gerard Ashbrook Bell. Left to cherish her memory are her children, J Dagney of New Orleans, Gretchen Drew Bell and Margaretha Patricia Bell both of Long Beach and Phoenix, AZ; brother, Arthur Kulp and sister Felicia Short both of New Orleans.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, November 14, 2009, at 2:00pm at the Riemann Family Funeral Home, 19130 Commission Road in Long Beach, where friends may visit one hour prior to the service.
