Lucila Resto Gipson, age 76, of Long Beach, died Wednesday, November 5, 2008 in Long Beach.
Mrs. Gipson was a native of Puerto Rico and had been a longtime resident of Long Beach. She enjoyed playing cards and going to the casino's with her friends. She was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church in Long Beach.
Survivors include her 4 children, Walter (Michelle) Gipson, Long Beach, George (Shannon) Gipson, Colorado, Maurice (Jennifer) Gipson, Gulfport, and Kenneth (Jessica) Gipson, San Diego, CA; 3 siblings: Callita Garcia Resto, Benedicta Resto """"Benny"""" Rosario, and Marcelino """"Miyo"""" Resto; 9 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild and numerous other relatives in New York, Tennessee, and Puerto Rico.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 6:00 pm Monday at St. Thomas Catholic Church, Long Beach where friends may visit from 5 - 6 pm.
Memorials may be sent to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
