Luby Marie Peterson

Luby Malley Peterson, 88, passed peacefully from this life on December 30, 2014, surrounded by family in Gulfport. Luby was born in Dedeaux on August 18, 1926 and remained a resident her entire life.
She was preceded in death by her husband Elmer Joseph ""J.P."" Peterson; daughter Beverly Ann Peterson Ladner; her parents, Phillip and Victoria Ladner Malley, her brothers, Aaron Malley, Harvey Malley, Edress Malley and infant Curtis Malley; her sisters Javenia Farve, Evelyn Cameron and twin sister infant Luvie Malley; great-great grandchild Lane Ladner.
Survivors include her children, Elmer ""McCoy"" (Linda McKay) Peterson, McKinley ""Kenny"" (Linda) Peterson, Linda Pettis, Charlotte (Earl) Saucier and Wyndal Peterson; 12 Grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren, 15 great-great grandchildren and 1 great-great-great grandchild (5th generation) as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Luby was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church-Dedeaux. She worked at the garment factory in Pass Christian for many years until its closing. She loved sewing, quilting, listening to music and dancing. She made many quilts in her life time. Many will remember her for selling sweet potatoes every fall. She leaves a legacy of love, family, faith and devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. She will be dearly missed as a devoted Mother of the Rosary. Her favorite saying was ""Lord Have Mercy"".
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, January 3, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. from Sacred Heart Catholic Church-Dedeaux, Pass Christian, MS. A visitation will be held Friday, January 2, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. with a Recitation of the Rosary at 8:00 p.m. from RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 9113 Kiln DeLisle Road, Pass Christian is serving the family and memories can be made at www.riemannfamily.com
