Lowry K. Anderson

Pastor Lowry K. Anderson, age 56, of Gulfport, left behind a legacy of faith to his children, grandchildren and those in life that he touched. Lowry was full of faith and laughter.
Today, our husband, father, pappy, pastor, and friend is rejoicing with his Father in Heaven.
He graduated from Biloxi High School and attended the University of Southern Mississippi. He worked for Phillips Lumber, Klumb Lumber, McMillan Bloedel, and Butch Oustalet Ford. After 27 years of business, he was ordained into full time Gospel Ministry serving on the staff at Michael Memorial Baptist Church and in 2003, he became the Senior Pastor at Bel-Aire Baptist Church and served in that capacity until his death.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Elizabeth Anne Surratt.
Survivors include his loving and devoted wife, Kandi Anderson; his children: Melanie Lee (J.J.) Jasper, Zachary Adam (Tiffany) Anderson, and Kasie Hope (Jeremy) Ulmer; his father, Walter Frank (Willean) Anderson; 6 grandchildren: Lauren Jasper, Sadie Jasper, Madison Jasper, Cooper Jasper, Karlie Anderson and Emil Anderson; his spiritual child, Jenny Moran, and his best friend, Billy Applewhite.
Visitation will be Saturday from 6-8 p.m. at Bel-Aire Baptist Church, Gulfport. The funeral service will be Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at the church. Visitation will be from 1:30 until service time.
Interment will be in Finley Cemetery.
