Lowell “Wayne” Rogers, Sr., age 86 of Gulfport, passed away on January 23, 2021.
Originally a native of Luverne, AL, he joined the U.S. Army. After the Army, he was employed in the Gas Station Business for 34 years, and then owned and operated Rogers Lawn Service until his retirement.
Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin A. Rogers and Willie Mae Thaggard; his brother, Curtis Floyd Rogers, Sr.; and his grandson, Daniel Wayne Rogers.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 62 years, Linda Lindh Rogers; his children, Mark W. Rogers, Sr., Penny M. Twilley, Lowell W. Rogers, Jr. (Michelle), and Roy A. Rogers (Laura); his brother, Bobby Joe Rogers (Ruby); his grandchildren, Shelly Rogers, Mark W. Rogers, Jr., David Rogers, John Mabbott III (Laney), Michael Twilley, Matthew Twilley, Bailey Rogers, Grayson Duckworth, Meredith Rogers, Andrew Gurley (Kayla), Carson Rogers, and Carrington Rogers; and his great grandchildren, Tyler Guzman, Ava Guzman, Mason Rogers, Bailee Gurley, and Jackson Gurley.
Wayne enjoyed watching Alabama Football and L.A. Dodgers Baseball.
He was a loving Husband, Dad, and Brother and will truly be missed by all that knew him.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Memorial Hospital Foundation in his honor.
A funeral will be held at 12:00 PM, Monday, February 1, 2021, at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, Gulfport, with a visitation from 11:00 AM until the service. Interment will follow at Biloxi National Cemetery.
