Emily Louise Randall Gordon, 85, went home to her Lord and Savior on April 11, 2009.
Born on November 24, 1923, Louise was a life long resident of Gulfport, having attended Gulfport city schools, graduating in 1940 from Gulfport High School, and attending Perkinston Junior College.
Louise married Richard L.""""Dick"""" Gordon of Atlantic City, NJ, in 1945 and for most of her working life was self employed in the wholesale and retail jewelry business. After retirement, she was active in volunteer work.
Louise was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church where she was an active member of the Wesley Sunday School class and hosted a weekly home Bible study and prayer ministry. She attended Mississippi Methodist Cursillo, Chatawa, in 1986 and had been active in the Elks ladies' auxiliary.
Louise was preceded in death by her husband, Dick Gordon; parents, Luther Segie and Iva Curry Randall; brothers, William Gerald (infant) and L. S. Jack Randall. She is survived by sons, Gerald Michael """"Gerry"""" Gordon and his wife, Barbara; and Robert Charles """"Bobby"""" Gordon and his wife, Christine, all of Gulfport; grandchildren, Gerry II, Matthew, Emaleigh, and Bobby Gordon; sister, Joyce Randall Edwards, of Ocean Springs; and sister-in-law, Katherine Lawrence Randall, of Biloxi.
Services will be held at Trinity United Methodist Church, 5007 Lawson Avenue in Gulfport, on Tuesday, April 14, 2009, at 12:00 noon, with visitation at 11:00 a.m. The service will be conducted by Rev. Jim Curtis and Rev. Betty Weaver. Interment will follow at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
Memorials may be made to Trinity United Methodist Church, or to South Mississippi Methodist Cursillo.
