Louise Ross Bell, of Gulfport, passed away May 22, 2018. Louise was a native of Hattiesburg and was a resident of Gulfport for 63 years. She was a graduate of Hattiesburg High School and Agnes Scott College.
She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Dr. T.E. Ross, Sr.; and her parents, Francis Gardner Ross and Louise Webb Ross.
She is survived by her husband,  of 63 years, Harry H. Bell, Jr.,of Gulfport ; her 4 children, Harry Homer Bell III (Jan), of Pensacola, Francis Ross Bell (Terri), of Hattiesburg, Louis Wesley Bell, of Gulfport, and Jefferson Walton Bell (Lynn ) of Mobile; and her 3 grandchildren, Madeleine Bell, Dr. Francis Garner  Ross Bell (Ivey), Preston Lewis Bell (Nicolet).
Louise was a loving wife, mother, and homemaker for 63 years. She enjoyed working in the travel industry and was the owner of Bell Travel Services.  Louise was an active member of The First United Methodist Church of Gulfport, The Revelers and Merry Maskers Mardis Gras associations, the Gulf Coast Symphony, Four Seasons Garden Club, and the Gulfport Yacht Club where she was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary and was affectionately known as "Mommadore".  While her husband served as President of Gulfport Chamber, Louise organized the first ladies group known as the Chamber Mates.
The funeral service will be held on Friday, May 25, 2018, at 1:00 PM at First United Methodist Church of Gulfport, with a visitation for family and friends from 11:30 AM until the service. A private graveside service will follow at Biloxi National Cemetery.
RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport, will be assisting the family.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to First United Methodist Church of Gulfport, 2301 15 th Street, Gulfport, MS 39501.
