Louis E. Moore, Sr., age 77 and a resident of Gulfport, died on Saturday, June 12, 2010, at home with his family with him.
Mr. Moore was a previous resident of Cedar Park TX and a resident of Gulfport since 1963. He retired after 20 years of service with the United States Air Force, was a carpenter by trade and had been employed as Chief Engineer at the former Gulf Coast Community Hospital. He was a member of the Whitestone Assembly of God Church in Cedar Park, TX.
Mr. Moore is preceded in death by his parents, Perry Lee & Susie Brown Moore; his son, Louis """"Eddie"""" Moore, Jr.; his sisters, Faye Crumley and Aimee Crumley Ferrall, and his brothers, James """"J.C."""" Moore, Elroy Moore, Tom Moore, Donald Moore, and Arthur Gene Moore.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 56 years, Susan Uchino Moore of Gulfport, his daughter, Linda (Jack) Nichols of Mandeville, LA; his sons, William R. """"Bill"""" (Michelle) Moore of Pearland, TX, and Richard P. Moore of Hattiesburg; his brother, Robert Moore of Cedar Park, TX; 9 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Tuesday, June 15, 2010, at 11:00 a.m. at the Riemann Family Funeral Home, 274 Beauvoir Road in Biloxi, where friends may visit one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Floral Hills Cemetery in Gulfport.
The family requests that memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society, 417 Security Square, Gulfport, MS 39507.
