Louis Joseph DeJean, age 85 of Gulfport, passed away on Monday, February 1, 2021.
He was a native of St. Bernard Parish, LA and was a member of the National Guard. He retired as a carpenter and iron worker.
Louis was preceded in death by his mother, Lillian L. Munter; his father, Eugene DeJean; his brothers, Eugene DeJean, Jr., Leon DeJean, Robert DeJean; and his sons, Louis DeJean, Jr., and Keith DeJean.
He is survived by his loving wife of 9 ½ years, Roxanne Ellis DeJean; his daughter, Jeannine Slipher (Joe); his sisters, Marsha Brown (John) and Deanna Baudean; his grandchildren, Keith DeJean, Jr., Melissa DeJean, Jr., and William Brayman, Jr.; his step-son, Adam Edmondson; his niece, Lynn Tyre; his nephews, Lee DeJean Raymond DeJean, and Robert DeJean, Jr.; and his friend and cousin, Hoarace Sharplin, Jr.
Louis enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a devout Catholic.
He was my best friend and companion for 11 years. He will dearly be missed by family and friends.
