Louis Bennett

MSgt. Louis Hollis Bennett, USAF, (Retired), of Pass Christian, joined the angels of heaven on May 11, 2017.
He was predeceased by his parents, Ollie Cameron Bennett Herrin and Samuel Bennett; his brothers, Sam, Harris, and Jim Bennett; and his sister Ruby Bennett Bentz.
He is survived by his brother, Britt I. Bennett. Mr. Bennett will fondly be remembered and missed by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who loved him very much.
Louis was born on January 6, 1924 in Kiln, Mississippi. He proudly served his country as a member of the Armed Forces. He served in the Navy, Army/Air Corp and Air Force for over twenty years. He was a veteran of World War II and the Korean Conflict. Upon leaving military service, he worked for space engineering companies including General Electric and Pan Am at the NASA Site in Mississippi.
He was a long-time member of the First Baptist Church of Delisle, Mississippi, where he served as a deacon and church treasurer for over fifty years.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 16, 2017, at First Baptist Church of Delisle at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services. Burial will follow at Alphonse Malley Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Justin Bennett, Tommy Bennett, John Bennett, Eddie Lott, Jr., Raymond Bentz, Jr., and Bryan Ellis. Honorary: M. L. Richardson.
