Mrs. Lou Ethel Clark, age 80 of Orange Grove, died on Sunday, February 21, 2010 at Garden Park Hospital, surrounded by family and friends.
Mrs. Clark was a member of Nugent United Methodist Church for 52 years. She loved her church family and loved going to The Retirees and The Wannabee's Bible Study Group.
She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Nothing pleased her more than talking and telling stories of her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Louis H. Clark and her nine siblings.
Mrs. Clark is survived by her son, Michael W. Clark and his wife Linda, of Hickory; her daughter, Karen Birdsong and her husband Tommy, of Orange Grove; her grandchildren, David Clark of Hickory, Tracie Mallard and her husband Joe, of Tupelo, Lisa Wilson and her husband Jeremy, of Orange Grove; her great grandchildren, Noah and Carson Mallard, Savannah Clark, and Jordan and Lainee Wilson. She also leaves behind, her treasured friend of 63 years, Mrs. Hester Herring.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Tuesday, February 23, 2010, at 12'Noon at the Riemann Family Funeral Home, 11280 Three Rivers Road in Gulfport, with the Rev. Larry Hilliard officiating.
