Bernadette Lorraine Hebert, 75, passed away on January 15, 2022 at her home in Diamondhead MS.
Lorraine was born in Preston England on April 18, 1946. She was lovingly raised by her late parents, David Hebert and Mary Eileen Gillies Hebert. Lorraine attended St. Francis De Sales in Houma, LA. She frequently sang Gregorian chant solo for early morning mass at St. Francis before school. She worked at the Bijou Theater in Houma, where she met her late husband, Alton Hebert. They married on August 8, 1964 and celebrated 40 years of marriage together. Lorraine took French classes at Nichols State University and taught French to elementary school children at Mimosa Park Elementary in Luling, LA. She also worked at Avondale Shipyards for a while as well as Waterford 3 Nuclear Power Plant. But she and her husband found their passion in photography. They opened their photography studio, Artistic Photography, in Luling Louisiana and found much beauty in capturing special moments for friends and clients. They enjoyed this business until retiring in Diamondhead, MS.
Lorraine was an extremely devoted wife, mother, and sister. Faith and family were at the forefront of all she did. She loved her grandchildren with all her heart. She was a faithful member of Most Holy Trinity Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents David and Eileen Hebert; and her husband, Alton Hebert.
Lorraine is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth Hebert Osborne (Bernie); her son, Timothy Eric Hebert (Lynn); her sister, Sr. Elizabeth Hebert, SLW; her brother, Dr. John Hebert (Elizabeth); and her six grandchildren, Corynn Hebert, Joseph Hebert, Ana Hebert, Bobby Hebert, Abigail Osborne, and Rebecca Osborne.
