Lora Carlin

Lora Watson Davis Carlin, age 86 of Long Beach, passed from this earth on Monday, December 14, 2020. She was born in Strawberry, Arkansas on January 28, 1934. A long-time resident of New Orleans, she resided in recent years near her daughter on the Mississippi Gulf Coast.

Mrs. Carlin was preceded in death by her parents, Oliver and Mary Watson; her husbands, Melvin Davis and Henry Carlin; and her son, James Akins.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Phyllis and Ron Skinner; her daughter and son-in-law, Rose Akins and Mark Loibner; and her brother, James Watson. She also left behind her grandchildren, who knew her as a doting "Annie", Jeremy Skinner, Lauren Skinner Andrews, Kellie Akins, and James Akins; and her six great grandchildren.
Lora was an avid fisherman and loved annual fishing and camping trips with family and friends on Lake Ouachita (Arkansas). She loved her church family and faithfully served in the church for fifty-six years.
