Lonnie Newton Preston, age 71 and a resident of Saucier, died on Sunday, July 6, 2008, in Saucier.
Mr. Preston was a native and longtime resident of the Mississippi Gulf Coast. He was a member of the Baptist faith.
Mr. Preston is preceded in death by his parents, Lonnie & Anna McNeely Preston; his wife, Wanda Watkins Preston and his son, Richard Preston.
He is survived by his daughter, Anna Rebarchek of Saucier; his son, Timothy Preston of Wiggins; his brothers, Freddy Preston of Gulfport, Allen Preston and Donnie Preston, both of Saucier; his sister, Mona Reed of Summerset, OH; 4 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 8, 2008, from 6:00-8:00pm at the Riemann Family Funeral Home, 11213 Highway 49 North in Gulfport.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Wednesday, July 9, 2008, at 11:00am in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at Evergreen Gardens in Gulfport. For more information, please call (228)539-9800.
