Lonnie G. Necaise “The Locksmith” age 83, of Pass Christian, passed away on December 11, 2024, in Diamondhead, MS.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alphonse and Estelle Necaise; 14 brothers; and 2 sisters.
Mr. Necaise is survived by his 4 sons, Shannon Necaise (Penny), Lonnie Necaise (Kristy), Chris Necaise (Stefani), and Stephen Necaise; his daughter, Ashley Skaggs (Josh); his grandchildren, Marissa White (Joe), Cole Bradley, Ainsley Necaise, Ethan Necaise, Danielle Ohlsson, Avery Skaggs, and Noah Skaggs; 4 great-grandchildren, Amelia and Ellie White, and Hudson and Holden Ohlsson; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mr. Necaise was a native and lifelong resident of Pass Christian and was a 1959 graduate of Harrison Central High School. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps from October 1962 until October 1966 where he was honorably discharged after serving during the Vietnam War. He was the longtime owner/operator of Lonnie’s Locksmith in Bay St. Louis.
He loved spending time with his family, riding horses – especially his mule and buggy, shooting pool, dancing to good ole country music, having a good time with friends, and watching endless hours of westerns.
Psalm 73:26 – “My flesh and my heart may fail but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.”
The family would like to thank the staff at Woodland Village Nursing Center Dementia Unit, and everyone for your prayers and thoughts during this difficult time. A special thank you to Tina Peterson, Care 4all Caregivers – Kathy and Linda, Stephanie Stephens, Tabitha Curtis, Deaconess Home Health, Christine Ladner and Vital Caring Hospice for providing friendship and exceptional care for Lonnie over the past few years.
Visitation will be on Monday, December 16, 2024, from 10 am - 11 am at the Riemann Family Funeral Home, 11280Three Rivers Road, Gulfport. A prayer service will be at 11 am in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be in Alphonse Malley Memorial Cemetery.
