Lola Mae Lollis Suddeth Smith, age 79, of Long Beach, MS, passed away on Friday, July 18, 2008.
Lola Mae was born in Anderson County, South Carolina, the youngest child of
Ernest E. and Lillian Boling Lollis. She was a graduate of Taylors High School, Class of 1947. She resided in Taylors and Greenville, South Carolina for a number of years before moving to Mississippi with her children and first husband, Clifford Suddeth (deceased). For several years she was employed at Union Bleachery Print Works in Taylors, SC and Stone Manufacturing in Greenville, SC. After moving to Mississippi, she was also employed in clothing manufacture as well as retail sales. At the time of her retirement she was a Certified Executive Housekeeper at Gulf Coast Community Hospital in Biloxi. She had also been Executive Housekeeper at the Ramada Inn in Long Beach and for a number of years was Executive Housekeeper at the First Baptist Church in Gulfport. She was of the Baptist Faith.
She is survived daughters, Beverly Suddeth Scarbrough (John) Birmingham, AL, and Elaine Suddeth Trisotto (Robert Copeland), Davenport, FL; sons, Aaron Bonwyn """"Bummer"""" Suddeth (Lynn), Long Beach, and Donald C. Suddeth (Dianne), Gulfport. She is also survived by grandchildren, Anita Suddeth Ladner (Damon) Gulfport, Tamara (Mike) Scarbrough, Patton Trafford, AL, Roger N. Trisotto, Jr. (Beth), Orlando, FL, Jamie Trisotto Martin (Jerry), Orlando, Aaron B. Suddeth, Long Beach, and Cabrina (Suddeth) Levens, Gulfport; great-grandchildren, Dylan and Brooke Ladner, Gulfport, Bryanna and Mattie Crocker, Trafford, AL, Kyonna and Elijah Levens, Gulfport, and Olivia Lynn Suddeth, Bay St. Louis. In addition, she is also survived by nieces, Bobbie Jean Stephens and Gayle Odom, both of Taylors, SC; nephews, Gerald and Johnny Lollis, both of Greer, SC.
Lola Mae was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest E. and Lillian Boling Lollis; brothers, Dean and Mitchel Lollis, Anderson, SC, Robert E. and Harold L. Lollis, Taylors, SC and Thomas L. Lollis, Greer, SC.; sister Inez Etta Lollis Styles, Greenville, SC; children, Sandra Kay Suddeth, Taylors, SC and Ronald Dale """"Ace"""" Suddeth, Pascagoula; and grandson, Staff Sgt. Donnie Levens.
Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until the service at 11:00 a.m., Monday, July 21, 2008 at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 19130 Commission Road, Long Beach. Interment will follow at Gulf Pines Memorial Gardens.
