Mrs. Lola Marie Maas, age 95 of Gulfport, passed away on Thursday, January 4, 2007 in Gulfport.
Mrs. Maas was a native of Pierson, Iowa. She had been a resident of Sioux City, Iowa for 10 years and Norfolk, Nebraska for 63 years. Mrs. Maas had been a resident of Gulfport for the past 4 years and attended Broadmoor Baptist Church in Gulfport for the past 2 1/2 years. She was a member of the Lutheran faith.
Mrs. Maas is preceded in death by her parents, Ellis & Jeannette Diller; her husband, Walter Maas; her first husband, Robert E. Waterbury, Sr., and her sister, Eldora Jeann Wieting.
She is survived by her loving son, Robert E. Waterbury, Jr., and his wife Celia of Gulfport; her 9 grandchildren, Robert Lynn Waterbury, Kathryn Ann Waterbury, Beverly Diane Payne, Margaret Elizabeth Shore, Scott Stewart Waterbury, Bonnie Blair, Timothy Wieting, Randy Wieting, and Vicki Selby; 16 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, January 7, 2007 at 2:30pm at Boadmoor Baptist Church in Gulfport where friends may visit one hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Broadmoor Baptist Church, 1902 Kelly Avenue, Gulfport, MS 39501.
