Lois A. Switzer, age 94, of Gulfport, died Friday 5/1/11 in Florence, AL.
Lois was displaced by Katrina and lived in Florence AL, in assisted living and nursing home care for the last four years. Prior to 2005 she was a lifelong resident of Harrison County, She was a longtime member of Grace Memorial Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lamar H. Switzer; parents, Bernard and Ada Schott; and siblings, Inez Clark, Helen Richards and Herbert Schott.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her son Gerald Switzer and his wife Virginia of Florence AL; three grandchildren Jerilynn Bronaugh of New Market AL, Lamar Switzer of Kodak TN and Hale Switzer of Biloxi MS; seven great=grandchildren Joshua, Jeremy, Jordan, and Jared Bronaugh; Cory and Shelby Switzer; and Wallace Switzer. She also leaves numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations to your favorite charity will be appreciated.
A graveside service will be held at Evergreen Cemetery, Gulfport, on Wednesday, May 4, 2011, at 10:00 a.m.
