Lieutenant Commander Lloyd Cleveland Watson, USN (Ret), son of Claude Watson and Beulah Buckner of Bald Knob, Arkansas, departed this life on September 18, 2006 in Gulfport, following a short illness.
Lloyd was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Anne Watson, his parents and one son, Thomas Claude Watson.
He is survived by his brother, Paul Watson of Colorado Springs, Colorado; two sons, Larry Watson of Biloxi and Kevin Watson of Scottsdale, Arizona; two grandchildren and two great grandchildren, all of Las Vegas, Nevada.
Lloyd and Doris settled in Timber Ridge in Pass Christian after his retirement from the United States Navy and ten years of traveling throughout the country in their motor home. A graduate of Harding College in Searcy, Arkansas and a 30-year veteran, Lloyd served with distinction in WWII, Korea, and Vietnam as a Naval Aviator.
He will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and golf partners. Lloyd will be interred with Doris in the Biloxi National Cemetery on Back Bay following a private service.
