Lloyd J. ""Eightball"" Ladner, age 81, of Pass Christian, passed away on Saturday, April 14, 2012.
He was born July 27, 1930 to Joseph ""Joe Pete"" and Hazel Cameron Ladner. He spent his entire life on the MS Gulf Coast. He worked as a carpenter until he retired and was best known for his detailed cabinet building and finishing work. He held a special love for his wife of 63 years, kids, grand kids, great-grand kids, and family.
He was preceded in death byhis parents, Joseph and Hazel Ladner, his siblings, Ona Mae Mauffray, Jean White, and Betty Brown, and a son-in-law, Bobby Necaise.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy ""Dot"" Ladner, his son, Jimmy (Lou) Ladner, his 3 daughters, Peggy Necaise, Pansy (John Wayne) Farve, and Norma (Wayne) Smith, his 2 brothers, Carl J. Ladner, and Odice Ladner, his sister, Lanell Necaise, 11 grandchildren, Barry and Paula Necaise, Tera Breland, Crystal Ladner, Ashley Buza, Travis and Jeromy Smith, Sabrina Preston, Gary Wayne Ladner and Jonathan Farve and Kellie Waller, 23 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to St. Joseph Hospice and all the people from the churches and community whose comfort and prayers helped through this time of sorrow.
Visitation will be Tuesday, April 17, 2012 from 6 - 10 pm at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 9113 Kiln DeLisle Road. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1 pm Wednesday at the Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church.
Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery @ Rotten Bayou.
