Lloyd J. Duval, Sr.

  Lloyd Joseph Duval, Sr., a lifelong resident of Biloxi, passed away on June 28, 2023, in Gulfport, MS at the age of 77.

  He was a graduate of Biloxi High School, he later moved to the St. Martin community where he coached little league, umpired for the games, was one of the founding members of the West Jackson County Volunteer Fire Department, a member of the Knights of Columbus. He worked for Ingal’s Shipbuilding for 26 years, than became a dealer for the Lady Luck and Grand Casino’s before his final retirement.  He was raised in the Catholic Faith and grew up going to St. Michael Catholic Church, then later to Sacred Heart Catholic Church in D’Iberville. 

 Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Ouida Duval; and the love of his life, his wife Carol Duval who passed away after 51 years of marriage.  Lloyd passed away on what would have been their 59^th wedding anniversary.  They are together again for eternity.

  Left to cherish the memories are his son, Lloyd J. Duval, Jr.; his daughter, Tracie McDaniel and her husband Robert E. McDaniel; his siblings, Elwood Duval (Linda), JoAnn Kovarovic (Bob); his grandchildren, Brittany Weaver, Brandon McDaniel (Colleen), and Justin McDaniel (Zoe); his great grandchildren, Kolten Mulqueeny, Jeremiah Mulqueeny, Kira McDaniel, and Asher Lloyd McDaniel; a host of relatives and dear friends.

 A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 5, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. where friends may visit from 10:00 a.m. until the start of Mass at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Lemoyne Blvd. in D’Iberville. He will be laid to rest next to his wife Carol at D’Iberville Memorial Park Cemetery.  A reception will be held at the Sacred Heart Divine Mercy Hall following interment.
