Lisa Ann McKechnie, 36, of Saucier, died Wednesday, August 6, 2008, after a long battle with brain cancer. She was a loving, caring mother of two sons, Stuart and Thomas (TJ).
Lisa was an employee of The Isle of Capri from """"day one"""" until her illness made it impossible to work and was once nominated for Employee of the Year. She was a willing volunteer and enjoyed helping at events like the Special Olympics and at the Headstart in Saucier. Her volunteer work carried over to Living Word Church and Living Word Academy. Lisa was also involved with her boys as they played sports.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Barbara McKechnie of Ruskin, FL and Victor McKechnie of St. Louis, MO and her grandparents, Bertram and Romaine Stager of Apollo Beach, FL.
Lisa is survived by her two sons and a brother, Lee McKechnie and his wife Denise of Great Falls, Montana.
A memorial service will be held at 10AM on Saturday, August 16, 2008, at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11213 Hwy 49N, Gulfport.
The family would like to thank the Isle of Capri, her friends and her church for their prayers and support during her illness. Donations can be made to the American Cancer Society in lieu of flowers.
