Linnie Evelyn Davis

Linnie Evelyn Davis, age 77, of Long Beach, passed away on Monday, September 24, 2012, in Gulfport, after a lengthy battle with Alzheimers Disease.
Evelyn, the daughter of George and Ocie Thornton, was born in Waycross, GA and lived there until she met her husband of 61 years, Jack L. Davis. They later moved to the MS Gulf Coast and made Long Beach their permanent residence where they raised their 3 children.
She was preceded in death by her parents, many siblings, and her son-in-law, Bobby Davis.
Survivors include her husband, Jack L. Davis, a son, Daniel (Pansy) Davis, 2 daughters, Debbie Davis, and Cynthia (Kenny Guidry) Davis, 2 grandchildren, Danny Davis, Jr., and Bridgett Daniels, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Thursday, September 27, 2012, from 11:30 am - 1 pm at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 19130 Commission Road, Long Beach. The funeral service will begin at 1 pm in the funeral home chapel.
Interment will be in Long Beach City Cemetery.
