Lindsey S. Lovitt, age 23, of Saucier, passed away on Thursday, April 18, 2024.
She is preceded in death by her brother, Landon James Lovitt; her Uncle Larry Cospelich; and her Grandfather, Clark Smith.
Lindsey is survived by her parents Eddie and Sandi Lovitt; paternal grandparents, Jimmy and Nora Lovitt; maternal grandmother, Carolyn Smith; great aunt and uncle, Pat and Earline Finan; Uncle Brian Lovitt; Aunts, Kandi Smith, Kim Cospelich, Tammy Gartman; Cousins, Chase Wyble, Colby Wyble, Raelyn Cospelich, Kinsley Cospelich, and Nick Cospelich; and her best friend and roommate Hunter Paige. Kaila Cole was not only her cousin, but her best friend, who made her an aunt to Cambri. Kayla Buckley was not only her best friend, but a bonus sister. Kayla graced her with her two nephews Remi and Gunner.
At a young age, Lindsey enjoyed playing sports like soccer and fast pitch softball. Her favorite coach was her Daddy and her biggest cheerleader was her Momma. Lindsey was a member of Bible Baptist Church, Pleasant Hill, and Campground Baptist Church where she participated in Awana's and various youth programs.
In 2019, Lindsey graduated from West Harrison High School. While in attendance, she was part of the band and was a member of the percussion line. In 2017, the band traveled to New York City to take part in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade and was featured on Good Morning America. After graduation, she went on to attend MGCCC in Perkinston where she continued in the percussion line in the Band of Gold. She then transferred to the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg for pre-pharmacy. In 2024, Lindsey completed her certification to become a Pharmacy Technician and began her career at Walgreen's Pharmacy in Hattiesburg.
Lindsey lived her life to the fullest with a kind heart, giving soul, a radiant smile, and the most contagious laugh. She would drop anything she was doing if someone needed her help. She was always there to pick you up and give you a compliment. She enjoyed cooking, organizing the kitchen, and shopping. She found the most excitement in the smallest of things. She enjoyed hanging out with her friends and family. She loved spending time with her niece, Cambri, and her nephews, Remi and Gunner. She loved animals, especially her cat, Spunkie, that she rescued while her mom was in the hospital. Although he was rescued by her, he really did the rescuing.
She loved life and she loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Lindsey will be missed by her family and friends. We can take comfort in knowing that she is in a peaceful place.
Pallbearers will be her Great Uncle Pat Finan, Colby Wymble, Gracen Gallotte, Lawson Gallotte, Michael Gartman, and Hunter Gartman.
