Linda Carol Whitney, age 62, and a resident of Kiln, passed away on Thursday, August 13, 2009, in Gulfport.
Mrs. Whitney was preceded in death by her father, Harrold Allen; husband, Gordon Patrick Whitney; and brother, Edward Allen.
She is survived by her mother, Pansy Allen of Chestertown, New York; 2 children, Shanna Schott and son-in-law Randy of Charlotte, Michigan, Shane Whitney and his wife Suzanne of Kiln, MS; and 4 grandchildren, Randy Schott, Jr, Lauren Whitney, Morgan Whitney and Whitney Schott; and sisters and brothers, Shirley Clevelnd (Mrs. Rolland) of Chestertown, NY, Dody (Mrs. Gary) Millington of North Creek, NY, Melvin Allen and his wife Sue of Bakers Mills, NY, Marlene Harppinger of Chestertown, NY, and Timothy and his wife Lois Allen of Corinth, NY.
Visitation will be held from 11:30am until 12:30pm on Monday, August 17, 2009 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Dedeaux. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:30pm at the church. Burial will follow in Biloxi National Cemetery.
