Linda Robinson

Linda Faye Laird Robinson, age 79, passed away on Saturday, March 28, 2020 at Memorial Hospital in Gulfport. Linda was born on September 17,1940, in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, to Rubye Saucier Laird and Paul Laird. She grew up in Gulfport and graduated from Gulfport High School in 1959. Linda enjoyed the outdoors, gardening, and going to lunch with her friends. She was an active member of Grace Memorial Baptist Church in Gulfport where she enjoyed bible study and singing in the choir. She was especially proud of her sons Jeff and Johnny and was a very proud Grandmother and Great-Grandmother.

In addition to her parents, Linda is preceded in death by her granddaughter, Brooke Mitchell. Linda is survived by her loving husband of 35 years, Ronald Robinson of Pass Christian, her brother, Wayne Laird of Gulfport, her son, John Mitchell Jr. and his wife Brenda of Stafford, Virginia, her son, Jeff Mitchell and his wife LeeAnn of Long Beach, a step daughter, Jennifer Robinson Carr and her husband Thad of Atlanta, Georgia. Her grandchildren, Brent Mitchell (Ryan), Kyle Mitchell, Carlton Mitchell (Paige), Brandon Quin and Hunter Carr, and two great grandchildren, Ethan Mitchell and Wheeler Mitchell.

Linda will be remembered for her warm beautiful smile and her gentle and kind nature. A private graveside service will be held on Monday, March 30th at Gulf Pines Memorial Gardens in Long Beach.
