Linda Dellinger Ribe, 65, formerly of Nashville, passed away on Saturday, May 11, 2024, in Mississippi. She was born in Charlotte, North Carolina on October 22, 1958, to the late Robert and Nellie Dellinger. Linda was a military wife for 23 years as her husband, Robert, proudly served in the United States Air Force. Linda and Bob shared a passion for antique cars and would go to antique car shows together. Linda was a loving caregiver and even owned her own daycare for much of her life. Linda loved Christmas and went all out every year decorating her house for the holidays. She was a proud “Grams” to her four grandsons.
In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her husband of 37 years, Robert Ribe.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving daughters, Melissa (Lacy) Smith and Christine (Johnny Brown) Davenport; four grandsons, Donovan Smith, Brandon Smith, Pierson Smith, and William Davenport; three dogs, Ellie Mae, Tank, and Mia; and a host of extended family members and beloved friends.
The family will receive friends from 12:00PM until 1:00PM on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at West Harpeth Funeral Home located at 6962 Charlotte Pike in Nashville. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will begin at 1:00PM on Tuesday in the Chapel at West Harpeth with a private burial to take place in the Middle Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery.
