Linda C. Vander Pol, age 69, of Lizana, has journeyed home to heaven on Saturday, March 26, 2011 in Gulfport.
Linda was a native of Iowa and had been a long-time resident of the coast. She was of the Baptist faith and she had worked many years as a seamstress.
Linda had a love of gardening and flowers, which stemmed from her childhood from being raised on a farm in Iowa. It was common to find her getting her hands dirty in her garden, flower beds and planting trees. She also enjoyed knitting, crocheting for her family and spending time with her dog, Coco.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Gradus and Cora Kuiper and one brother, Harley Kuiper.
Survivors include her three daughters, Pam Gibson, Lisa Thompson and Debbie L. Raffeo; two sons, Brian K. Vander Pol and Brad Vander Pol; 13 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; siblings, Nancy Brummel, Arthur Kuiper, Larry Kuiper and Marcia Riggen.
Visitation will be from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 29 at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road in Gulfport. The Funeral Service will follow at 3:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.
