At 3 o’clock Christmas morning Linda Nix’s alarm sounded the call to take needed medication after taking said medication, a bought of nausea set in followed by trouble breathing. Realizing her Christmas day was not going to be what she had planned, in exasperation she uttered her last words, “Merry Christmas damnit”. Unable to deliver enough oxygen to her body, she went into a coma and a short time later her soul went home.
Linda is survived by her husband of 25 years, Vernon Nix; her daughter, Sandy Jackson of Deerfield Beach, FL; her son, David Entrican (Rachel) of Lakewood, CO; her stepdaughter, Kim Ard (Tom) of Orange Beach, AL; and her two grandsons loved by her to the ninth degree, Garrett Ard and Jack Entrican.
Linda graduated from Franklin County High School in Meadville, MS. She attended Copiah Lincoln Junior College at Wesson, MS. She obtained her Bachelor’s degree from the “W’ in Columbus, MS. Linda would go on to obtain two Master’s degrees, one in Library Science, the second in Media Specialist.
Her husband has spent many a minute stopped at strange locations, somewhere while she took photographs. Her work was award winning with “window to the world”. She will be missed and loved by all who knew her, the latest being Houdini the cat.
