Linda Hutchings

Linda Hutchings, age 74 of Saucier, MS passed away on September 27, 2023 at the Claiborne Assisted Living.

She was born in Austin, TX to the late Daniel & Florence Burrows. Linda was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Julia Burrows; and two brothers, Charles Burrows, and Alfred Burrows.

Linda was an accomplished scholar; she graduated Magna Cum Laude with her bachelors degree from Western Washington University studying and becoming a registered nurse. Linda then worked full time while pursing her master’s degree from the University of Washington studying to become a nurse practitioner.  She was highly sought after by several Physicians in Washington State, Florida, and Mississippi. Linda settled here on the Gulf Coast and worked with several physicians here in the area. Linda in her spare time, loved to knit, going to concerts, sporting events, and her computer games. Linda had a great heart for her family and patients, but was very particular on her cases.  She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Linda is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Carl Hutchings; brother, John Burrows of Spokane; and loving and adored niece, Elizabeth. Linda also leaves behind to cherish her memory a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and extended family.

Family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the nursing staff and chaplain with Deaconess Hospice for their love and care during Linda’s illness.
