Linda Frances Hudson Necaise, age 74, of Perkinston, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 22, 2024, at Singing River Hospital in Gulfport, MS.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William C. Hudson and Lois Frances Scarborough Hudson; her ex-husband, Darryl Necaise, Sr.; her sister, Debbie Fayard; her grandparents, Carrie Schonewitz Scarborough Neely, Tollie Scarborough, Rufus Neely, Emma and Walter Hudson; and a grandson, Colbin Necaise.
Linda is survived by her children, Darryl Necaise Jr. (Pam) and Shelia Necaise McDaniel (Randy); her beloved fur baby, Bella; her siblings, James (Georgena) Hudson, Diane (DuWayne) Ladner, and Amanda Wetzel; her grandchildren, Destinee, Kandace, Macey, Cane, Coby, Jasmine, Amber, Lindsey, and David; as well as her great grandchildren, Layton, Addie, Leighton, Gatlin, Easton, Elenna, and Remi.
Linda was given the nickname of “Boopie” by her grandson, Colbin. It was shortened later in life to “Boo”. She loved crafting, politics, old westerns, gardening, and cooked the biggest, best pots of gumbo and greens that were enjoyed by many. She was stronger willed and more determined than people twice her size. That was very obvious through her last days with us. There was never a job too big or too small for her to take on. Her favorite time of the day to take on any task was always lunch or later. She would start her day later than most people but would still be working long after the sun went down.
She had the biggest love for her dogs. They were treated like royalty. They would often times have their own heating pad, be spoon fed, have their back patted until they went to sleep…. They didn’t want for anything. She’s been told by many people throughout the years that coming back in our next life as one of her dogs would be the greatest thing ever!
We are left with a void in our lives as well as a hole in our hearts, but we find comfort in knowing all the suffering and pain are over.
