Linda Faye Donald Favre, age 74, came to the Lord, August 12, 2021, where she joined her father Floyd Lavelle Donald, her mother Edna Earle Johnston Donald, her brothers Frank Donald and Francis Donald, and her son Clifton Scott Bowden.
Linda was the valedictorian of her high school class at Holly Ridge High School, LA in 1965 and earned her Bachelor of Business Administration at Northeastern Louisiana University in 1972. Before beginning her business career, Linda started her true passion—becoming a mother to seven children in all, and to countless others who passed through her home. Her business career was highlighted with the two businesses she owned and operated, the Branding Iron in Picayune, MS and Village Package in Gulfport, MS, as well as working for various other businesses during her lifetime, including working with her husband, Dr. C. Thomas Favre, at Beatline Veterinary Clinic in Long Beach, MS. Linda would later transition back to her passion as a mother, and eventually grand and great-grandmommy, to spend more time with her family.
Throughout her life, Linda was also an avid sports fan, pulling for the Saints every Sunday and a Sea Wolves fan from day one, including being at the game seven final when the Sea Wolves won the Kelly Cup. In her free time, Linda would always be found with a book in her hand and her Bible close by. However, what Linda enjoyed most was to love and spoil her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchild. There has never been a better example of a selfless person than Linda, with the best evidence of this being the life she provided for all her loved ones.
She is survived by her husband of thirty-seven years, Dr. C. Thomas Favre; her children, Cindy Bowden Nations (husband Todd Nations), Greg Bowden (wife Tiffiany Bowden), Don Bowden (wife Kitty Bowden), Brad Fayard, Kimberly Favre, and Jarrad (JT) Favre; a step-daughter, Julie Favre Coultes; her brother, Jerry Donald (wife Linda Gail Donald); and her pride and joys: her grandchildren, Hannah Ivanuska (husband Michael Ivanuska), Tanner Nations, Sarah Nations, Brittiany Bowden, Whittney Bowden, Preston Jones, Lindsey Lewis, Blaine Bowden; and great-grandchild, Oliver Ivanuska.
