We remember the life of Linda DeParto, whose spirit departed from us on Monday, December 2, 2024. Linda was born on January 17, 1943, in Texas to Holly and Lila Carlile, the youngest of nine children. She moved to New York where she married her only true love, Wayne DeParto (deceased 2019), where she raised her family and began a career in Clinical Social Work. Linda and Wayne moved to Diamondhead, MS in 2001 to enjoy their retirement in a warmer climate. Linda became quite the skillful golfer and was an active member of the community’s golf clubs, POA, Women’s Club, and fundraisers, most notably for breast cancer.
She was an amazing cook and a most loving wife, mother, aunt, and friend. Her motto was to show up, be your absolute best, and have FUN! Her bright smile lit up a room and she radiated positive energy. She always made you feel welcome with her warm, friendly nature and would make time to help someone through difficulties, offering words of encouragement and guidance. She was a warrior—a 3x cancer survivor and lived her 81 years to the fullest with grace, dignity, integrity, and courage.
Linda’s number 1 priority was her family, who she fiercely loved. She is survived by her daughters, Michelle Squillante and Lisa Venske (Todd), her 2 grandchildren, Kristiana Squillante and Sarah Venske, and her loving nieces and nephews.
She will be missed dearly and will forever reside in our hearts. Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, December 9th, 2024 at 3:00 PM at Most Holy Trinity Church on Kiln Delisle Road in Pass Christian, MS.
Riemann Family Funeral Home, Pass Christian, is honored to serve the DeParto family.
