Linda Gay "Mama Gay" Cuevas

Linda Gay ""Mama Gay"" Cuevas, age 59 and a resident of Pass Christian, died on Wednesday, February 4, 2015, in Gulfport.
Mrs. Cuevas was a native and lifelong resident of the MS Gulf Coast. She was employed for 35 years teaching children in the Head Start Program and Good Shepherd Christian Academy. She was a devout Catholic and was an active member of Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Pass Christian. Mrs. Cuevas loved spending time with her family, caring for her parents, and watching her grandchildren play sports. She was a very giving person and touched many families and children's lives.
Mrs. Cuevas is survived by her husband of 41 years, Everett ""Butch"" Cuevas of Pass Christian; her parents, Huey ""Buddy"", Sr. and Veda Mae Cuevas of Pass Christian; her children, Everett ""Lil Butch"" (Mickey) Cuevas, III and Mandy Cuevas of Pass Christian; her grandchildren, Lakyn Cuevas, Brady Cuevas, Landon Dedeaux, Isabella Cuevas, and Lanae Dedeaux; her step-grandchildren, Reid (Kallie) Crowell, Russell Crowell, and Miranda Crowell; her great-grandson, Lathan Necaise; her brother, Huey Cuevas, Jr.; her sisters, Betty Carol Ladner and Reba Ladner and numerous nephews, nieces, and godchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 8, 2015, from 5pm-9pm at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 9113 Kiln Delisle Road in Pass Christian, with a Recitation of the Rosary at 7pm.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Monday, February 9, 2015, at 10am at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Interment will follow at New Delisle Cemetery.
The family requests that memorial contributions be made to Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 9062 Kiln Delisle Road, Pass Christian, M-S 39571.
