Linda L. Minter Carter, 62, of Gulfport, Mississippi passed away on December 29, 2010 in Texas City, Texas where she was living to be close to her children during her illness.
She was born July 25, 1948 in Hattiesburg, Mississippi to George and Mary Minter. She grew up in Casper, Wyoming but returned to the Hattiesburg area in 1964. She was married to Gerald Carter Sr. and has lived in the South Mississippi area where she raised her children.
Linda is survived by her children, Chanse Carter, Gerald Carter Jr., and Dawn Endres: her mother Mary Minter Seay: her brother James Minter: and her sister Marrietta Hinton.
She leaves behind four grandchildren, Alexandria and Donavan Endres, and Zachary and Elizabeth Carter: several nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. She is preceded in death by her grandson Cody Carter and her father.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 15, 2011, at 10:00 am at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Rd., Gulfport.
