Lillian Knight-Gautier

Lillian Earline Knight-Gautier, age 78, of Ocean Springs, entered her heavenly home on October 23, 2018.
She was born August 3, 1940 in Jones County, MS. and was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest J. Wade and Jean Coker Roney; sister, Ernestine Herndon; and one great-granddaughter, Sophia Ann Myers.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, husband, Jim Gautier; children, Randy Knight (Lori), Pam Patano (Jim), Brian Knight (Robyn), David Knight (Suzy); her sister, Ima Jean Roney;sister in law, Linda Abernathy; grandchildren, Jeffrey Knight, Felecia Knight, Daniel Knight (Laecon), Savannah Roberts (Shannon), Angel Myers McIlrath (Scott), Austin Patano, Adam Patano, Jacob Knight (Kristen), Katelyn Knight, Drew Knight, Kaley Thompson (Bubba); her great grandchildren, Austin Born, ,Abe Knight, Paisley Knight, MaKael Harris, Lennon Knight, Andie Faith Thompson, and the twins, Rhett and Jennings Knight.
A registered nurse and devout Christian, Mrs. Knight-Gautier made numerous medical missionary trips to Belize, Honduras and Guatemala during her career. She was a published author of many poems and short stories and had begun writing a novel. She was a gifted artist.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 29, 2018 at 12:00 p.m. with visitation for friends and family from 11:00 a.m. until the service at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 13872 Lemoyne Blvd. at Washington Ave in West Jackson County. Interment will take place at Biloxi National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to the "SOSO Strong Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation" at P.O. Box 632, Ocean Springs, MS 39566.
The family would like to offer our deepest gratitude to the staff of Sunplex Subacute Center for their patient and loving care of our mother over these last 14 years. We also thank the staff of Southern Home Care for their care these last few weeks.
