Lezette Cowart Nunemaker- Taylor, age 79 of Gulfport, passed away on Thursday, August 15, 2019.
For my beloved mother, I will love you always.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Archie Taylor; her father, Ernest Cowart, Sr.; her mother, Ruby Crawford Cowart; her brothers, Norman, Ernest, Jr., Floyd, Troy, and JY(AC); her sister, Ersley Odom; her son, Earl Owensby; and her great grandson, Owen Day.
She is survived by her sisters, Vivian Thibault and Dot Green; her daughter, Kathy Hosford Jewell; her step daughters, Brenda Jackson (Willie) and Patricia Huen; her granddaughters, Angela Joseph, Christina Hofler (Mel), Sabrina Burrell (Justin), Melissa, Racheal, Kristy Jo Naquin (Hank); her great grandchildren, Brandon, Hanna and Nathan Carter, Matthew, Kendra and Landon Hofler, Savannah Goddard and Ezra Earl Day, Westin, Summer, Paige, Kirsten, Luke, and Derek; great great granddaughter, Elizabeth.
In the last couple of years, Liz had found a wonderful church family. She loved and was devoted to pastors Dave and Jill Hodges and her family at Family Worship Center. She had been saved and baptized.
Liz had a great sense of humor. She could keep everyone laughing and in stitches. I remember one time her and Aunt Idell were both standing on their head in Aunt Ersley's living room on New Year's Eve. Keep in mind they were both very large. It was an extremely hilarious sight.
Liz loved her grandchildren immensely. She would help anyone in any way even if it was at her own expense.
Liz loved working in the yard. She kept gardens with flowers. She loved bright colors. Her love of animals was overwhelming. She also leaves behind her cherished pups, Chrissy and Fred.
Liz was also a splendid and loved caregiver of many people. She had been sitting with Ms. Ann for the last 10 years.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, August 20, 2019, at Family Worship Center, 13166 O'Neal Rd, Gulfport, with a visitation from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Finley Cemetery. RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport, is serving the family.
