Lexie Moore went to Heaven to join her Heavenly Father on Friday, March 5, 2010.
Mrs. Moore, age 87 and a resident of Gulfport, was a member of Gulfport First Church of the Nazarene, where she served in the nursery for over 30 years. Her priorities were to God and her family. Mrs. Moore was an avid gardener and loved to work in her yard, and spent her lifetime devoted to her children.
Mrs. Moore was preceded in death by her parents, Melvin and Nola Meadows Ingram; her husband, John Moore; her infant son, John Moore; and her sister, Kindel Smith.
Survivors include her seven children, Ann Clements (Aubrey), Hugh Moore (Lela), Tom Moore, Sr. (Connie), Barbara Hair (Dennis), Pansy Grant (Tracy Rush), Darrell Moore, and Keith Moore (Melissa), all of Gulfport; a brother, James Ingram, of Magee; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and her loving canine companion, """"Lil' Bit"""".
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Monday, March 8, 2010, at 12'Noon at the Riemann Family Funeral Home, 11280 Three Rivers Road in Gulfport, where friends may visit two hours prior to the service.
Memorial contributions may be made to Gulfport First Church of the Nazarene, P.O. Box 3363, Gulfport, MS 39505.
