Lewis “Pete” Harshbarger, age 94, passed away on Saturday, August 20, 2022 in Gulfport.
He retired from Coast Electric after 31 years, former member of Pass Christian School Board, former member of Delisle Volunteer Fire Department, and member of Concern Citizens of Delisle.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 70 years, Florence Ellen Harshbarger; parents, Wirt Harshbarger and Gladys Young Harshbarger; son, Lewis Harshbarger, Jr.; brothers, Leo Harshbarger, William “Bill’ Harshbarger; sister, Bettie White.
He is survived by his 2 daughters, Linda Helwick of Gulfport and Lori McDonald of Pass Christian; sister, Fern White of Vancleave; 2 grandsons; Steven Helwick and James McDonald, Jr.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00AM on Thursday, August 25, 2022 at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 9062 Kiln Delisle Rd, Pass Christian. A visitation will be held Thursday, August 25, 2022 from 10:00AM until Mass time at the church. A burial will follow the Mass at New Delisle Cemetery.
