Mr. Lester Alan Lanning, age 50, resident of Gulfport, passed away on Saturday, June 14, 2008, in Gulfport after a lengthy battle with Lou Gehrig's Disease.
Mr. Lanning was a native of Gulfport, worked in the construction business, and was a member of First Baptist Church of Lyman. He loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and golf.
He is preceded in death by his father, Russell W. Lanning, Sr.
He is survived by his mother, Margie Lanning of Gulfport; children, April and Raven Lanning of Gulfport; brother, Russell W. Lanning, Jr. and his wife Pat of Gulfport; and sisters, Debra McCLendon of Gulfport, and Patti Bosarge and her husband Kenneth of Saucier.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 16, 2008, at 1:00 pm at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport, where friends may visit after 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Gulfport.
