Leran ""Brother"" Ladner, Jr., age 74, of Pass Christian, passed away on May 3, 2012.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leran and Ethel Ladner, grandparents, Ola and Azelia Ladner and Sylvan and Leontine Ladner, a sister, Earlene Dedeaux, in-laws, W.J. and Bertha Butler, and his heart donor, Jeb.
Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Berniece Butler Ladner, 4 brothers, Lionel (Marlene) Ladner, Donald (Gina) Ladner, Andy (Celina) Ladner, and David (Kathy) Ladner, 2 sisters, Willie Jean Ladner, and Jeannine McKnight, his heart donor's mother, Donna, and several other relatives and friends.
Mr. Ladner was a lifelong member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Dedeaux. He was a longtime heart patient and received a heart transplant 13 years ago. He enjoyed visiting with people - especially his family.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 6, 2012 from 6 - 9 pm at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 9113 Kiln DeLisle Rd. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 am Monday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Dedeaux where friends may visit from 10 - 11 am.
Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery at Rotten Bayou.
The family would like to thank Camellia Hospice for their care and concern during Mr. Ladner's sickness.
