Leonard Francis """"Red"""" Sylvia, III, age 53 of Gulfport, died Wednesday, January 10, 2007 in Gulfport.
Mr. Sylvia was born in Gulfport and formerly worked for Marco China and Hot Sticks Manufacturing. He was an avid hunter, an outdoor enthusiast, Civil War reenactor and loved animals.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Louise C. Stidham and sister in law, Kay Sylvia.
He is survived by his former wife, Joyce Papania of Whittier, CA, father, Leonard Francis Sylvia. Jr of Gulfport; daughter, Jamie M. Sylvia of Whittier, CA; brothers, Donald Lee Sylvia of Gulfport, Frank Sylvia of Gulfport; sister, Sharon Schneider of Biloxi; nieces and nephews, Bryan and Zachary Schneider, Andrea Vance, Annie Cuevas, Amanda Duckworth, and Frank Sylvia, Jr.
Visitation will be Sunday, January 14, 2007, from 1:30-3:00 p.m. at Gulf Coast Funeral Homes, Three Rivers Road, Services at Dobson Cemetery, graveside at 3:15 p.m.
