Leonard Francis ""Paw Paw"" Sylvia Jr., age 76 of Gulfport, passed away Sunday, January 10, 2010, in Prentiss, MS.
Mr. Sylvia lived most of his live on the coast. He was an auto mechanic and musician who could play all instruments.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Nell Sylvia; son, Leonard Sylvia III; great granddaughter, Kaycee Sylvia; sisters, Frances Ladner, Dorothy Lee, and Alma Jackson.
His is survived by his children, Donald Lee Sylvia of Mobile, AL, and Frank Justin Sylvia Sr. of Gulfport; siblings, Rose Royals of Saucier, and Fredna Fowler of Miami, FL; 6 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren.
The funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 14, 2010, 11:00 a.m. at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport, with visitation one hour prior to service. Burial will follow at Gulf Pines Memorial Gardens.
