Lenora Margaruitte Courtault Kelly, went to join her husband of 57 years, James R Kelly, on Friday, September 5, 2008.
She was also preceded in death by two infant sons, her parents, Walter J. and Jennie Lavallee Courtault of Waveland and New Orleans, her sister, Eunice C Crudden of Waveland and her brothers, Robert Courtault of New Orleans, Raymond Courtault of New Orleans and Walter J. Courtault Jr. of Waveland.
She is survived by her children, James (Donna) Kelly and Lenora (Gene) Bilbo; her sister, Marion Kennair; her granddaughters, Lenora Johanna and Devin Jenny Bilbo and her great granddaughter, Kamryn Weldon.
Mrs. Kelly was born in New Orleans on December 20, 1919, and along with her husband, became a permanent resident of Waveland in 1946. She was an extremely devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother whose family always came first.
She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 139 then Post 77, VFW Auxiliary and was a certified welder at Delta Shipyards during WWII. She was also an early member of the Krewe of Nerieds for over 20 years.
Private services were held Tuesday, September 9, 2008 at Biloxi National Cemetery.
The Riemann Family Funeral Home, 274 Beauvoir Road in Biloxi was in charge of arrangements.
