LeNell Towell Joslin danced into Heaven in Houston Wednesday, May 14 after suffering a stroke.
LeNell graduated from Gulfport High School in 1942 where she lettered in basketball for two years and sang in the Glee Club. LeNellaÌ‚â‚â„¢s favorite activity since a child was dancing, and she continued ballroom dancing until last year.
LeNell is preceded in death by her husband James Joslin, her parents Lillian Towell Holt and Horace Towell, her bother Horace Towell, Jr. and a son Al Joslin. She is survived by two sisters, Marilyn Towell Wilson and Dr. Marianne Towell, three sons, Travis, Mark and Lyndon Joslin, six grandchildren (Brady, Katie, Evin, Kyra, Jeremey, and Miranda) and one great granddaughter (Leighton).
A memorial service to celebrate LeNellaÌ‚â‚â„¢s life will be Thursday, June 5 at 10:00 AM at Gethsemane United Methodist Church, 6856 Bellaire Blvd. Houston, Texas 77074. LeNell loved flowers, so they are welcome. Interment will be Saturday, June 7 at 10:00 AM at the family plot at Southern Memorial Park in Biloxi, MS.
