Lemont “Pap” Parker, age 81, of Saucier, passed away on Wednesday, August 5, 2020.
Mr. Parker was born in Harrison County to Herbie and Geneva Sauls Parker. He worked at Struthers Wells for over 39 years as a Foreman. In his younger days, he loved to quail hunt and fish. He enjoyed helping people and sharing his garden with the community. Pap spent many hours organizing the cemetery records for Saucier Cemetery and helping families secure burial grounds for their loved ones. He will be remembered as a proud and devoted family man.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Bertha Mae Parker; his parents; siblings, William Parker, Lawrence Parker, O.C. Parker, Katherine Bradley, Florence Murphy, and Nelna Johnson.
He is survived by his children, Dora Necaise (Robert), and Hershel Parker (Kathy); sister, Mattie Lou Martin; grandchildren, Mandy Caudill (Ryan), Rufus Bankston (Angie), Katie Yarborough (Jesse), and Dustin Parker (April); great grandchildren, Blake and Cruz Caudill, Lauren Barta, Brayden Bankston, Luke, Anna, Bella, and Laney Yarborough, and Hunter and Layla Parker.
Graveside services will be held at Saucier Cemetery on Saturday, August 8, 2020, at 10:00 am.
