Lazander """"L.G."""" Cuevas, age 76 of Gulfport, died on Saturday, August 25, 2007 in Gulfport.
Mr. Cuevas was born and raised in Gulfport. He served in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict and was a retired steel worker. He worked with his father in their tile business. Mr. Cuevas grew up in the St. John Catholic Church Parish and attended St. Thomas Catholic Church in Long Beach.
Mr. Cuevas is preceded in death by his parents, Lazander & Gertrude Cuevas.
He is survived by his children, Cinde Cuevas (Al) Weaver of Long Beach, Sandra Cuevas of Kennewick, WA, Bruce Cuevas of Glendale, AZ, and Ronald (Carol) Cuevas of Kennewick, WA; his sister, Marilyn (Chuck) Crowley of Long Beach and five grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, August 27, 2007 at 11:00am at St. Thomas Catholic Church, where friends may visit one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Gulfport.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the St. Thomas Catholic Church Rebuilding Fund, 5557 Daughtery Road, Long Beach, MS 39560.
